Loreck Homes Ltd. is proud to be leading the field in Alberta when it comes to addressing a growing health concern around Radon Gas. The Alberta Lung Association has identified Radon as the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers and the second leading cause of lung cancer (after smoking) overall.

As one of the first to be certified within the home building industry in western Canada, president Len Gieck is qualified to Measure and Mitigate this naturally occurring hazard, through the National Environmental Health Association. Loreck Homes has already incorporated radon gas venting into its building practices on all current and future homes built - well before the industry prepares to make it a mandatory part of the building code.
