Our People

Leonard Gieck - Founder and President

Loreck Homes began as a business entity when a young Leonard Gieck, who had been successfully building homes with others, decided to start his own company in 1978.
From the beginning Len's focus has been on Quality and Integrity - as it remains to this day. In the ensuing years the reputation for his fine homes spread, leading to a need to bring more skilled people into the organization and broadening the business base.

Together with his wife Lori and a very competent team at their side, the Giecks have established Loreck Homes as a modern, leading edge builder, with thousands of satisfied customers and a well deserved respect from peers within the industry.

As with all fine leaders, Leonard keeps his eyes on the horizon and will continue to grow the organization in a manner that considers the latest technologies, standards and ecology - bringing this to the marketplace and consumers with an ever-evolving residential product.

Bruce MacDougall - Construction/Safety Manager/Service Airdrie Area

One of the people Leonard brought on board early was an expert framer, Bruce MacDougall.

Bruce's dedication to Loreck Homes often saw him spending weeks at a time at various locations around the province and even in to other provinces at times, to meet the schedules promised to customers.

He was a natural choice to be graduated into the position of Construction Manager in 1993; and later, in keeping with the nature of a company sensitive to ever changing conditions, was assigned more responsibilities as Safety Manager. Bruce has instilled the "Safety First" commitment into the culture of the organization and has received commendations from Alberta's OH & S for his ongoing efforts. Under his guidance, the construction practices and innovations of the firm continue to go above and beyond the minimum set in building codes and he has been instrumental in Loreck Homes reaching the pinnacle in industry benchmarks.

Bruce has been a partner in the firm since 2000.
