1. Airdrie is 10 minutes from Calgary’s city limits. Airdrie is great, because you can get away from the craziness of Calgary’s traffic and crowds, but if you decide that a “night on the town” is in order, you literally take a 10 minute drive and you’re back in the Big City. It’s also great for those who want to move, but don’t want to leave their jobs in Calgary!
2. There is a wide variety of schools. Airdrie offers a diverse selection of schools for parents and their children to choose from. From preschool to high school (including French emersion and Catholic school systems), and even post secondary, you won’t have to worry about placing your child in a school that doesn’t fit their personal needs.
3. City Parks. From lakes and rivers, to lush greens, and any outdoor recreational facility you can think of (we’re talking tennis courts, soccer fields, playgrounds, a BMX track, skate park, ice rinks, and a splash park), if you move to Airdrie you and your family will have a difficult time staying indoors.
4. Everything you need is at your doorstep. Retail shops, grocery stores, and community services and facilities are literally at your doorstep in Airdrie. The city is equipped with all of the necessary (okay, maybe sometimes not so necessary) services, stores, and facilities that you may need on a daily basis.
5. The Airdrie Pro Rodeo. If you’re worried about missing out on Calgary Stampede fun, don’t. The Airdrie Pro Rodeo boasts more World and Canadian cowboys and cowgirls than any other Canadian Professional Rodeo Association event.
